What Is Life?

Mind and Matter is a non-fiction book on science for the lay reader written by physicist Erwin Schrödinger. One of the discoverers of the structure of DNA, Francis Crick, credited What Is Life? as a theoretical description, before the actual discovery of the structure of DNA (the existence of the molecule had been known for nearly 2 decades, but its role in reproduction and its helical shape had not even been guessed at this time), of how genetic storage would work and a source for inspiration for the initial research.

In the book, Schrödinger introduced the idea of an "aperiodic crystal" that contained genetic information in its configuration of covalent chemical bonds. In the 1950s, this idea stimulated enthusiasm for discovering the genetic molecule. In retrospect, it could be seen as having been a well-reasoned theoretical prediction of what biologists should have been looking for during their search for the genetic material.

Yamaha Motor Company

Yamaha Hatsudōki Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 7272), a Japanese motorized vehicle-producing company (whose HQ is at 2500 Shingai, Iwata, Shizuoka), is part of the Yamaha Corporation. After expanding Yamaha Corporation into the world's biggest piano maker, then Yamaha CEO Genichi Kawakami took Yamaha into the field of motorized vehicles on July 1, 1955. The company's intensive research into metal alloys for use in acoustic pianos had given Yamaha wide knowledge of the making of lightweight, yet sturdy and reliable metal constructions. This knowledge was easily applied to the making of metal frames and motor parts for motorcycles. Yamaha Motor is the world's second largest producer of motorcycles (after Honda)[citation needed]. It also produces many other motorized vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, outboard motors, and personal watercraft.
The Yamaha corporate logo is comprised of three tuning forks placed on top of each other in a triangular pattern.
In 2000, Toyota and Yamaha Corporation made a capital alliance where Toyota paid Yamaha Corporation 10.5 billion yen for a 5 per cent share in Yamaha Motor Company while Yamaha and Yamaha Motor each bought 500,000 shares of Toyota stock in return.

LIFE INSURANCE: LEARN ABOUT LIFE INSURANCE

If you have dependents or other people with whom you share your life, life insurance can play a vital and valuable role at virtually every stage of your life. The I.I.I. can help you make smart choices when buying life insurance: how much to buy; which type of product to buy; and which one of the hundreds of life insurance companies to choose.

Q: My dad is in a nursing home and I need to change the ownership on his life insurance policies. My mom has a POA for him. How do I go about doing this?
A: Your mother should contact the life insurance company and request the ownership change. She will need to provide a copy of the Power of Attorney. It would be advisable to contact the company through an agent, broker or financial professional, so that you are aware of all consequences of the ownership change.

Life insurance or life assurance is a contract between the policy owner and the insurer, where the insurer agrees to pay a sum of money upon the occurrence of the insured individual's or individuals' death or other event, such as terminal illness or critical illness. In return, the policy owner agrees to pay a stipulated amount called a premium at regular intervals or in lump sums. There may be designs in some countries where bills and death expenses plus catering for after funeral expenses should be included in Policy Premium. In the United States, the predominant form simply specifies a lump sum to be paid on the insured's demise.
As with most insurance policies, life insurance is a contract between the insurer and the policy owner whereby a benefit is paid to the designated beneficiaries if an insured event occurs which is covered by the policy.
The value for the policyholder is derived, not from an actual claim event, rather it is the value derived from the 'peace of mind' experienced by the policyholder, due to the negating of adverse financial consequences caused by the death of the Life Assured.
To be a life policy the insured event must be based upon the lives of the people named in the policy.
Insured events that may be covered include:
Serious illness
Life policies are legal contracts and the terms of the contract describe the limitations of the insured events. Specific exclusions are often written into the contract to limit the liability of the insurer; for example claims relating to suicide, fraud, war, riot and civil commotion.
Life-based contracts tend to fall into two major categories:
Protection policies - designed to provide a benefit in the event of specified event, typically a lump sum payment. A common form of this design is term insurance.
Investment policies - where the main objective is to facilitate the growth of capital by regular or single premiums. Common forms (in the US anyway) are whole life, universal life and variable life policies.
Parties to contract
There is a difference between the insured and the policy owner (policy holder), although the owner and the insured are often the same person. For example, if Joe buys a policy on his own life, he is both the owner and the insured. But if Jane, his wife, buys a policy on Joe's life, she is the owner and he is the insured. The policy owner is the guarantee and he or she will be the person who will pay for the policy. The insured is a participant in the contract, but not necessarily a party to it.
The beneficiary receives policy proceeds upon the insured's death. The owner designates the beneficiary, but the beneficiary is not a party to the policy. The owner can change the beneficiary unless the policy has an irrevocable beneficiary designation. With an irrevocable beneficiary, that beneficiary must agree to any beneficiary changes, policy assignments, or cash value borrowing.
In cases where the policy owner is not the insured (also referred to as the celui qui vit or CQV), insurance companies have sought to limit policy purchases to those with an "
insurable interest" in the CQV. For life insurance policies, close family members and business partners will usually be found to have an insurable interest. The "insurable interest" requirement usually demonstrates that the purchaser will actually suffer some kind of loss if the CQV dies. Such a requirement prevents people from benefiting from the purchase of purely speculative policies on people they expect to die. With no insurable interest requirement, the risk that a purchaser would murder the CQV for insurance proceeds would be great. In at least one case, an insurance company which sold a policy to a purchaser with no insurable interest (who later murdered the CQV for the proceeds), was found liable in court for contributing to the wrongful death of the victim (Liberty National Life v. Weldon, 267 Ala.171 (1957)).

Contract terms

Special provisions may apply, such as suicide clauses wherein the policy becomes null if the insured commits suicide within a specified time (usually two years after the purchase date; some states provide a statutory one-year suicide clause). Any misrepresentations by the insured on the application is also grounds for nullification. Most US states specify that the contestability period cannot be longer than two years; only if the insured dies within this period will the insurer have a legal right to contest the claim on the basis of misrepresentation and request additional information before deciding to pay or deny the claim.
The face amount on the policy is the initial amount that the policy will pay at the death of the insured or when the policy matures, although the actual death benefit can provide for greater or lesser than the face amount. The policy matures when the insured dies or reaches a specified age (such as 100 years old).
Costs, insurability, and underwriting
The insurer (the life insurance company) calculates the policy prices with intent to fund claims to be paid and administrative costs, and to make a profit. The cost of insurance is determined using mortality tables calculated by actuaries. Actuaries are professionals who employ actuarial science, which is based in mathematics (primarily probability and statistics). Mortality tables are statistically-based tables showing expected annual mortality rates. It is possible to derive life expectancy estimates from these mortality assumptions. Such estimates can be important in taxation regulation.[1] [2]
The three main variables in a mortality table have been age, gender, and use of tobacco. More recently in the US, preferred class specific tables were introduced. The mortality tables provide a baseline for the cost of insurance. In practice, these mortality tables are used in conjunction with the health and family history of the individual applying for a policy in order to determine premiums and insurability. Mortality tables currently in use by life insurance companies in the United States are individually modified by each company using pooled industry experience studies as a starting point. In the 1980s and 90's the SOA 1975-80 Basic Select & Ultimate tables were the typical reference points, while the 2001 VBT and 2001 CSO tables were published more recently. The newer tables include separate mortality tables for smokers and non-smokers and the CSO tables include separate tables for preferred classes. [3]
Recent US select mortality tables predict that roughly 0.35 in 1,000 non-smoking males aged 25 will die during the first year of coverage after underwriting.[2] Mortality approximately doubles for every extra ten years of age so that the mortality rate in the first year for underwritten non-smoking men is about 2.5 in 1,000 people at age 65.[3] Compare this with the US population male mortality rates of 1.3 per 1,000 at age 25 and 19.3 at age 65 (without regard to health or smoking status).[4]
The mortality of underwritten persons rises much more quickly than the general population. At the end of 10 years the mortality of that 25 year-old, non-smoking male is 0.66/1000/year. Consequently, in a group of one thousand 25 year old males with a $100,000 policy, all of average health, a life insurance company would have to collect approximately $50 a year from each of a large group to cover the relatively few expected claims. (0.35 to 0.66 expected deaths in each year x $100,000 payout per death = $35 per policy). Administrative and sales commissions need to be accounted for in order for this to make business sense. A 10 year policy for a 25 year old non-smoking male person with preferred medical history may get offers as low as $90 per year for a $100,000 policy in the competitive US life insurance market.
The insurance company receives the premiums from the policy owner and invests them to create a pool of money from which it can pay claims and finance the insurance company's operations. Contrary to popular belief, the majority of the money that insurance companies make comes directly from premiums paid, as money gained through investment of premiums can never, in even the most ideal market conditions, vest enough money per year to pay out claims.[citation needed] Rates charged for life insurance increase with the insurer's age because, statistically, people are more likely to die as they get older.
Given that adverse selection can have a negative impact on the insurer's financial situation, the insurer investigates each proposed insured individual unless the policy is below a company-established minimum amount, beginning with the application process. Group Insurance policies are an exception.
This investigation and resulting evaluation of the risk is termed underwriting. Health and lifestyle questions are asked. Certain responses or information received may merit further investigation. Life insurance companies in the United States support the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) [4], which is a clearinghouse of information on persons who have applied for life insurance with participating companies in the last seven years. As part of the application, the insurer receives permission to obtain information from the proposed insured's physicians.[5]
Underwriters will determine the purpose of insurance. The most common is to protect the owner's family or financial interests in the event of the insurer's demise. Other purposes include estate planning or, in the case of cash-value contracts, investment for retirement planning. Bank loans or buy-sell provisions of business agreements are another acceptable purpose.
Life insurance companies are never required by law to underwrite or to provide coverage to anyone, with the exception of Civil Rights Act compliance requirements. Insurance companies alone determine insurability, and some people, for their own health or lifestyle reasons, are deemed uninsurable. The policy can be declined (turned down) or rated.[citation needed] Rating increases the premiums to provide for additional risks relative to the particular insured.[citation needed]
Many companies use four general health categories for those evaluated for a life insurance policy. These categories are Preferred Best, Preferred, Standard, and Tobacco.[citation needed] Preferred Best is reserved only for the healthiest individuals in the general population. This means, for instance, that the proposed insured has no adverse medical history, is not under medication for any condition, and his family (immediate and extended) have no history of early cancer, diabetes, or other conditions.[5] Preferred means that the proposed insured is currently under medication for a medical condition and has a family history of particular illnesses.[citation needed] Most people are in the Standard category.[citation needed] Profession, travel, and lifestyle factor into whether the proposed insured will be granted a policy, and which category the insured falls. For example, a person who would otherwise be classified as Preferred Best may be denied a policy if he or she travels to a high risk country.[citation needed] Underwriting practices can vary from insurer to insurer which provide for more competitive offers in certain circumstances.
Life insurance contracts are written on the basis of utmost good faith. That is, the proposer and the insurer both accept that the other is acting in good faith. This means that the proposer can assume the contract offers what it represents without having to fine comb the small print and the insurer assumes the proposer is being honest when providing details to underwriter.[citation needed]

[edit] Death proceeds
Upon the insured's death, the insurer requires acceptable proof of death before it pays the claim. The normal minimum proof required is a death certificate and the insurer's claim form completed, signed (and typically notarized).[citation needed] If the insured's death is suspicious and the policy amount is large, the insurer may investigate the circumstances surrounding the death before deciding whether it has an obligation to pay the claim.
Proceeds from the policy may be paid as a lump sum or as an annuity, which is paid over time in regular recurring payments for either a specified period or for a beneficiary's lifetime.[citation needed]
Types of life insurance
Life insurance may be divided into two basic classes – temporary and permanent or following subclasses - term, universal, whole life and endowment life insurance.
TEMPORARY TERM
Term assurance: provides for life insurance coverage for a specified term of years for a specified
premium. The policy does not accumulate cash value. Term is generally considered "pure" insurance, where the premium buys protection in the event of death and nothing else.
The three key factors to be considered in term insurance are: face amount (protection or death benefit), premium to be paid (cost to the insured), and length of coverage (term).
Various insurance companies sell term insurance with many different combinations of these three parameters. The face amount can remain constant or decline. The term can be for one or more years. The premium can remain level or increase. A common type of term is called annual renewable term. It is a one year policy but the insurance company guarantees it will issue a policy of equal or lesser amount without regard to the insurability of the insured and with a premium set for the insured's age at that time. Another common type of term insurance is
mortgage insurance, which is usually a level premium, declining face value policy. The face amount is intended to equal the amount of the mortgage on the policy owner’s residence so the mortgage will be paid if the insured dies.
A policy holder insures his life for a specified term. If he dies before that specified term is up, his estate or named beneficiary receives a payout. If he does not die before the term is up, he receives nothing. In the past these policies would almost always exclude suicide. However, after a number of court judgments against the industry, payouts do occur on death by suicide (presumably except for in the unlikely case that it can be shown that the suicide was just to benefit from the policy). Generally, if an insured person commits suicide within the first two policy years, the insurer will return the premiums paid. However, a death benefit will usually be paid if the suicide occurs after the two year period.

[edit] Permanent Life Insurance
Permanent life insurance is life insurance that remains in force (in-line) until the policy matures (pays out), unless the owner fails to pay the premium when due (the policy expires OR policies lapse). The policy cannot be canceled by the insurer for any reason except fraud in the application, and that cancellation must occur within a period of time defined by law (usually two years). Permanent insurance builds a cash value that reduces the amount at risk to the insurance company and thus the insurance expense over time. This means that a policy with a million dollar face value can be relatively expensive to a 70 year old. The owner can access the money in the cash value by withdrawing money, borrowing the cash value, or surrendering the policy and receiving the surrender value.
The four basic types of permanent insurance are whole life, universal life, limited pay and endowment.

Whole life coverage
Whole life insurance provides for a level premium, and a cash value table included in the policy guaranteed by the company. The primary advantages of whole life are guaranteed death benefits, guaranteed cash values, fixed and known annual premiums, and mortality and expense charges will not reduce the cash value shown in the policy. The primary disadvantages of whole life are premium inflexibility, and the internal rate of return in the policy may not be competitive with other savings alternatives. Riders are available that can allow one to increase the death benefit by paying additional premium. The death benefit can also be increased through the use of policy dividends. Dividends cannot be guaranteed and may be higher or lower than historical rates over time. Premiums are much higher than term insurance in the short-term, but cumulative premiums are roughly equal if policies are kept in force until average life expectancy.
Cash value can be accessed at any time through policy "loans". Since these loans decrease the death benefit if not paid back, payback is optional. Cash values are not paid to the beneficiary upon the death of the insured; the beneficiary receives the death benefit only. If the dividend option: Paid up additions is elected, dividend cash values will purchase additional death benefit which will increase the death benefit of the policy to the named beneficiary.

TATA MOTORS

Indian manufacturers Tata Motors have quite the history under their belt, starting with the company's foundation in 1945 as a locomotive producer. Tata Motors is just one part of the business group Tata, formerly known as TELCO (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company), which also has several other ventures, including a steel making plant and even a tea producing company.Tata got into the motoring business in 1954 when it starting producing heavy trucks in a joint venture with Daimler-Benz AG. So, in 1960. the first truck rolled out of the factory's door in Pune, India, a copy of a German Daimler truck. Tata starting exporting heavy-duty trucks but for the local market, they had to come up with lighter versions because of the infrastructure of the country. The first LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) model, the Tata 407, began production in 1986.At the beginning of the 90s, the company sought to evolve and expand into the car market, and it began a collaboration with Cummins Engine Company to produce more efficient diesel engines. Their first car was the Tata Indica, a model that enjoyed an unexpected success both in India and on other European markets, despite the fact that car-analysts gave it bad reviews. The Indica won people over with it's low fuel consumption and powerful engine. It was so successful that Rover began selling it in the UK under the name of CityRover. The second generation of Indica, the V2, was even more successful.Indica's major success gave Tata Motors the financial power to take over Daewoo Motors in 2004, in a effort to take their brand more international exposure. Other surprising acquisitions by the Tata Group include Jaguar and Land Rover as of March 26th, 2008 for a net 2 billion US dollars. Lately, Tata has made known its aggressiveness when it comes to gaining exposure and acquiring new brands. 2008 - Nano Tata Motors' financial power comes from the fact that its labor costs amount to only 9% of the profit, a reason for which many other car producers, including Volvo decided to move operations to India. Another important factor in Tata's success is the fact that the group holds several machine tools and metal producing plants, further reducing production costs.Apart from this, Tata does not lack the innovative spirit, bringing to the world the compressed air car (OneCAT) and the the cheapest model ever produced, introduced at the 2008 Geneva auto show, the Tata Nano, a car which will set you back some $2.500. Also, Tata has expressed their wish to come up with a car made 100% out of plastic, in an effort to fight rising costs for metal production. It seems that Tata Motors has the recipe for success and only time will tell where this car manufacturer will head next.

Bajaj Pulsar

Clever, stylish, impressive and probably the most awaited bike for all those bike enthusiasts, the Bajaj Pulsar 220. The range of waiting started long back and had waited the people a long time, grabbing all those excitement and expectations and was launched one fine day, the day for the end of all those excitement, the day of judgment.
Power, Engine, Transmission and Mileage The Pulsar is a 4-stroke SOHC, 220cc DTS FI that is Digital Twin Spark Fuel Injection, oh and of course its electric start, but no kick start. Weird ain't it, we asked the guy in charge "whats happens if it stops and the electric start ain't working?" the answer i got was "push" you're on your own!! mostly there wont be any problems like that. Coming back to the bike. The engine produces a mind-blowing 20bhp and the maximum torque of 1.95kgm at 6500Rpm. Its technically India's most advanced bike. The transmission is a 6 speed - one down and rest up. This bike gets up to a top speed of about 130Kmph. This Pulsar can fly to 60kph in 4.4sec and keep on at 110kph in only 18.7sec. Oil cooler and Bajaj's exhausTEC advances in the 220cc. Its an animal i say!!Styling and FeaturesStyle is the word overall - The Bajaj 220cc is almost identical to the younger 200cc and the only major difference in looks is only the front faring that emerges out. I personally think that the Pulsar series has been aging really fast till now, and this model's might seem to go on and on, though the 200cc is more clean and shaped, these two words jump out of the 220cc because of the front fairing as it looks sticked with the help of fevicol. This is only from the side views, from the front its amazing though. If compared to the Karizma's styling, its far apart. Overall the looks are unbeliveable, impressive and amazing. The P220 has a great list than the competition(Karizma). Starting off with split seats, currently India's only one with it, along with the P200. The mirrors can be folded for fun and the digital display which includes fuel availability, speedometer, and all those necessary stuff but tachometer and LED tail lamp to add that sharp styling and safety of course. The silencer adds the shining finish and some people finds it disturbing. Who looks at all these when having fun?? the huge front fairing is not for nothing, but gives those huge headlights a home to give all those bright light and is said to be the best lights on any Indian bike. LEDs are used for the instruments, and also offer a mini compartment that can be released with a cable in the side.Performance, Handling and MileageThe Pulsar sounds great right from turning the key till riding in 130Kmph. The P220 handling is said to be quite good and thinks that it fells a tad better handled than the Karizma. That smooth riding quality comes within the refined engine and the mileage that they claimed is 50 and the rest comes within you and upto you whether you want a decent mileage by following the rules or a life full of fun by ripping them off and breaking the rules of getting better mileage, and should expect about 35-40kmpl, and a tank of 15L. The one down and rest up gets confusing in the beginning, but will catch up later though. The bike is surely fun to drive and will give the value for the money that compared to the Karizma.Overall:A total Fun Factor if you see, a great steal, great handling with a powerful engine and that awesome styling, and its Bajaj, who wouldn't want to buy one?? Two kinds of people buy this, people who have money and want some bike that will meet their factors, and the other who are soo crazy about it that they arrange the money and go for this beauty, if you cant reach it this high, the P200 is also a good buy.. go for one.

In the first phase, we will focus on customer satisfaction. The second phase would be to set up a local manufacturing facility and the third phase is to make Indonesia the hub for the Southeast Asian market.
First this, the Bajaj three wheeler.
The Bajaj brand is well known, almost infamous, in Indonesia due to the presence of thousands of the company’s three wheeler motorised rickshaws that noisily ply the streets of Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta. But Bajaj is now focusing on the upper end of the motorbike market. Says Sanjiv: [2]
These will be high-end bikes, in the range of Pulsar and higher engine capacities.
Now this, the 180cc Bajaj Pulsar.
K S Grihapathy, head of PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia, said the company initially aimed to sell 100,000 motorbikes in Indonesia in two years. The company was formed as a joint venture with financial consultancy group Boentaro, which holds five per cent.
Not yet sighted, Bajaj Goods Carrier.
It is intended that the Bajaj bikes produced in Indonesia will be completely knocked down kits (CKD’s) in the beginning with just the assembly being done locally. Later the company will source bulk components locally while still importing critical components from India.

Bajaj must give something new to Indonesia’s market, because Indonesia’s market already has Honda Tiger, Suzuki Thunder, Yamaha Scorpio, and Kawazaki Ninja RR. What will Bajaj give to Indonesia’s market which is different from other motorcyle factory ( Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawazaki ) ?

seriously??? is this news for serious?
ayukhairina Says: January 22nd, 2007 at 1:31 pm
I hope the specifications of this new bike will require a higher level of intelligence, considering the number of bike riders in Indonesia that easily know how to handle ‘the normal bike’ and tend not to abide to traffic regulations. At least try to bring a new face to motorbicyclists in Indonesia

Missing You SMS

What makes some people dearest is NOT just the happiness that you feel when you meet them; but it's the pain you feel when you miss them...
• It's nice feeling when you know that someone loves you, someone misses you, someone needs you, but it feels much better when you know that someone never forgets you.
• There are 2 types of enjoyment. One is being with a friend. The other is being with the memories of friends. Miss u but not ur memories.
• Have you seen my smile because the last time I wore it was when I was with you. Miss U.
• Missing someone gets easier everyday, coz even though it's one day further from the last time u saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time u'll.
• Nobody is right till somebody is wrong... Nobody is weak till somebody is strong... Nobody is lucky till love comes along... Nobody is lonely till somebody is gone. Missing U!
• Memories sometimes behave in a crazy way. They leave u alone, when u are in a crowd & when u are alone they stand along with u like a crowd.
• Relationship is like a Violin, music may stop now & then, but strings are attached forever. So if u b in touch or not, u r always remembered. Miss U!
• Changes in life are good, but see to that changes don't take you far away from the people who love and care you...including myself. Missing U!
• My heart problem has reached such a critical stage that doctor says there are only two options left: Either I C U or U C Me! Missing U!
• Care for the one who shares with u, share with the one who knows u, know the one who misses u, miss the one who wishes the best for U.
• No sweet thought to forward, no cute graphics to send. Just a 'Caring Heart' saying, 'Take Care!' Miss U!
• God must be partial to have endowed a single soul with so much beauty, grace, panche, elgance & allure. If I ever have d luxury of dreaming of u, I bet I'll b afraid of waking up coz I wouldn't want 2 lose U!
• Nobody's right till sumbody's wrong.Nobody's weak till sumbody's strong.Nobody's lucky till luv comes along.Nobody's lonely till sumbody's gone. Missing U!
• Those we Luv never go away, they walk beside us everyday... unseen & unheard, still near... still loved... still Missed & still very dear. Missing U
• Whenever I miss U, I won't luk 4 u in my dreams or try to hear ur voice in ur msgs. I'll just put my right hand across my chest & will feel U!
• Every tear is a sign of brokenness, every silence is a sign of loneliness, every smile is a sign of kindness, every SMS is a sign of rememberance. Miss U!
• Your absence should be long enough so that somebody misses u, it shouldn't be so long that somebody finds out that how well he can do without u...!
• A raindrop may luk 2 small 2 eyes but sumwhere a thirsty flower await its fall. A sms may seem 2 small but sumwhere a heart remembers u when it receives ur sms. Keep SMS'ing.
• What makes a frindship special is the way each one remembers the other when they are apart. They miss the talks, the laughs n the time they spent together. Life changes, memories don't. I miss U.
• Message: * some text missing* Sender:* Name Missing * *Number Missing *Sent: * Date missing * Missing U a lot thats y everything is missing.
• As I watched the ants crawl up the wall, I noticed that no matter how busy they r, they still communicate with each other. Hope we'll be like them, in touch always.
• What makes some people dearer is not just the happiness that we feel when we meet them but the emptiness we feel when they are not around us. I Miss U!
• A simple Bye make us cry, A simple Joke make us laugh, simple Care make us fall in love. I hope my simple SMS make you think of me. I Miss U
• Memories play a confusing role. They make u laugh when u remember the time u cried together! But make u cry when u remember the time u laughed together.
• What makes some people Dearer? It's not just the happiness that u feel when u meet them but the pain u feel, when u miss them. Miss U
• Close ur eyes..., Relax ur body and stop breathing as long as U can. Now breath... I miss u as much as u missed the air.
• Near ones are not dear, dear ones are not near, it is easy to remember the near ones, but very difficult to forget the dear ones. Missing You.
• Don't forget that someone somewhere is wishing for ur happiness on every falling star. Missing You!
• Every tear is a sign of brokeness, every silence is a sign of lonliness, every smile is a sign of kindness, every sms is a sign of remembrance
• I drink to make other people interesting
• Lessons of life: Learn 2 care, learn 2 smile, learn 2 cry, learn 2 give, learn 2 4give, learn 2 share, learn 2 trust, n learn 2 luv & learn 2 say: U Miss me!
• Aapko milne ko man kar raha tha, man ko samjhaya to dil tadapane laga, dil ko bahelaya to ankhein ro padi, unhe chup karaya to saansein bol padi... I miss U
• Sometimes, I forget to say hi,Sometimes, I even miss to reply, Sometimes, my msg doesn't reach u,But, it doesn't mean that I forget u,I’m just giving u time to miss me!
• Never luk for a Gud Face, it'll turn old one day; Never luk for a Gud Skin, it'll wrinkle one day; But luk for a loyal heart, that'll miss u every day.
]• I am in casualty now, don't say I didn't tell you. After 5 minutes, I will be transfered to ICU. Doctor told, I will die if I don't STOP.. Missing You
• What makes some people dearer is not just the happiness that we feel when we meet them but the emptiness we feel when they are not around us. I Miss U!
• Sometimes I forget 2 say hi, sometimes I forget 2 reply, sometimes my msg doesn’t reach u, but it doesn't mean I forget u. I'm just giving u time to Miss me.
• Don't u ever wonder y people txt u but hv nothing imp to say! It's 4 the simple reason... u r such a nice person 2 think of, like the way I'm thinking of u now.
• Knowing a person like u, has made me happy in a million ways and if ever I have to let u go... I would find a million reasons to make u stay. I miss you.
• I heard someone whisper ur name, but when I turned around to see who it was, I notice I was alone, then I realize it was my heart telling me that I miss u.
• I hv learned how to luv, to smile, to b happy, to b strong, to work hard; to b honest, to b faithful, to forgive but I couldn’t learn how to stop missing u.
• I may seldom tell u how special u are, I may not b able to reach u coz we're both busy, but in spite of all, u know u are someone I really miss & care about.
• There's no Special reason for this msg, I juz wanna steal a single moment out of ur busy life & hope I can make u smile n say: I Miss U.
• I always knew that looking back on my tears would someday make me laugh, but I never knew that looking back on my laughter would someday make me cry. Miss you.
• My eyes are hurting coz I can’t see u, my arms r empty coz I can’t hold u, my lips are cold coz I can’t kiss u & my heart is breaking coz I’m not with u.
• U must b tired coz u hv been running through my mind, u gotta b a thief coz u hv stolen my heart n I must hv been a bad shooter coz I keep missing u.
• The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.
• A hug for you means I need you. A kiss for you means I love you. A call for you means I'm missing you.
• Sometimes, I 4get 2 say hi.Sumetimes, I even miss 2 reply.Sumetimes, my msg doesn't reach u.But, it doesn't mean dat I forget u.Im just givin u time 2 miss me!
• Last night I wanted to write you a letter but all I could write was - noh ss!W ! It doesn't make sense until you read it upside down!
• God gave u 2 legs to walk, 2 hands to hold, 2 ears to hear, 2 eyes to see. But why did he give u only 1 Heart?Probably bcoz he wants u to look for the other.

The Shadows – Nepali Rock Band

Wednesday, March 21, 2007
.fullpost{display:inline;}
Though I haven’t listened too much of Nepali songs that passionately, I am trying write some of the things I know about “The Shadows” our own Nepali Rock Band, being them my girlfriend’s favorite band. My friend Bhupesh has been a friend of this band from what I know, but I have never listened to them back then. It’s only when one day my gf told me that I should at least listen to what she likes that I tuned in to their song, and I didn’t find it too bad. They were kinda good. In person as well I have met some of the band members in one of my friends party but haven’t spoken to them quite closely, but they behave like gentlemen and were friendly in behavior too. So now that I have listened to them and met some of them as well, I can tell they are one awesome rock band and cool people to meet. Here is what I know about the band members:Nowadays many band members are coming with new energy and excitements from different parts of the country. The Shadows is also the one who came out from Narayangadh, Chitwan, Nepal in the year 1996. It has been nearly 11 years that they have established their band. This unique band has altogether five band members and one band manager. The Shadows are:Swapnil Sharma: The main vocalist.Amit Pradhan: Bass guitar.Prakash Rasailey: Lead guitar.Prashant VK: Rhythm guitar.Bikash Manandhar: Drums.Rupesh Sen: The band manager. The album that I have listened of them is Hidne Manchhe Ladchha. Her favorite song is “Prakriti” from the same album. So far I find all of the songs in this album equally cool, heavy metal type songs. Well I hope they will try and keep it on and win people’s heart in years to come.
Prashant Tamang- binding nepali community
Prashant Tamang,24,hails from Darjeeling is one of a proud singer to represent all Nepalese in one of India's Most popular musical TV Show 'Indian Idol'. Currently, he works for Calcutta police where once his father served. After the death of his father in an accident, he got recruited in his place and is serving well in Calcutta police orchestra too.

Dibya Subba

I think it was about three years back that some media people and artists were on their way to
Pokhara to attend a function. It was during the midsummer and a guy was with his shirt off in the bus. He had a big tattoo on his back! He had short hair and looked innocent and quiet. I talked to him about the tattoo and some other things on the way. We reached Pokhara and attended the musical function the other day. The boy was somewhere with us as an audience and at that time I think nobody had the slightest clue that he would one day be rocking the crowd himself, toping the countdown charts and becoming one of the
most popular rock singers in the country. Yeah! I’m talking about our very own talented singer Dibya Subba. His debut album ‘Pratha’ was able to garner him enough popularity and establish himself as a rock singer in the industry though there were a few controversies along the way but people simply couldn’t deny the fact that he possessed immense talent. His just recently released album ‘Pariwartaan’ is doing well in the market and his song ‘Timro Mann’ has been topping the charts on different FM stations. A few days back I bumped into him and it was nice to hear him talk about the present situation in the country and his keen interest in politics. It feels good to see the positive change in the youth lately. Let me tell you a funny thing that Dibya told me during our informal talk. Few days back when we had massive fuel shortages, somebody brought him a few liters of Chinese petrol somewhere from Khasa. He was surprised to see the color of pure form of petrol because he had never seen it before. The guy who brought him petrol asked him to mix some kerosene with it before filling his bike because the pure petrol might harm the engine as our engine is only familiar with mixed petrol…ha …ha…. See! Well what do I say? Ok let’s get started with the interview. Here we go!

You've just released the video of your song 'Timro Mann', how has the response been?
I've been getting good response from various FM stations. Probably the song has remained in the top five for a while and the video has been receiving decent frequency. I feel that the response for the song is better than the video… may be it’s because of the load shedding and people haven't been able to watch the video. The situation isn't good right now. People are busy trying to get their share of basic necessities, queuing up for fuel, cooking gas etc. At this moment I just can't only talk about my music. People are going through hard times. I hope the situation will get better!

Yeah! We hope the same. The album 'Pariwartaan' was released almost three months back, what is the reason behind the delay of the video?
Actually, we started the shoot as soon as we released the album. We had some difficulties then. We had to stop the shooting because of numerous problems that kept cropping up and the company was also not able to provide the finances on time. However, its better to be late than never!

Do you believe music video affects the sales of an album?
Well! I don't think it'll improve the sales but yeah! It definitely gives some mileage to the album. It could help in the popularity of the album.

When we talk about sales of an album, the situation of our country also needs to be taken into account.
]Entertainment is a secondary thing. As you know people start getting frustrated as soon as they get up in the morning because of the present situation and chaos in the country. So at this moment and coming back into the question,
I don't think the video would be helping in the sales of the album.
